• Covers all roof rafters to give a simi-finished ceiling that never needs paint.
• Increases light reflectivity 15% over aluminum, thereby decreasing the amount of light needed.
• Is especially beneficial in an exposed rafter application in industrial and commercial buildings. When installed exposed below unfaced mineral fiber blanket insulation or multiple layer aluminum insulation , additional insulation value is achieved.
  

RECOMMENDED METHOD OF SPECIFYING
Superior Factory Type2 aluminum insulation shall be installed only by qualified mechanics.

INSTALLATION
Face staple Superior Factory Type 2 to bottom of rafters, staples to be approximately 6" o.c. Material shall be installed as a single sheet the full length of the rafters and turned down approximately 1½" at ends where possible, and stapled to both the perlin or main rafter support. Ends shall be neatly trimmed.

WARNING
Do not install insulation under a roof that is not dry. Insulating a wet roof may cause condensation and damage to insulation and roof deck.

NOTE
When tested by the ASTM E 84 Flame Spread Test the following results were achieved:
                         Flame Spread  5           Smoke Developed 15
